Spain prospered well under the dictatorship of Franco from 1959-75, and it has done reasonably well economically since a democratic government was installed in 1977. Former Pres Felipe Gonzalez made inroads on the country's economy, but further progress is necessary despite its unpopularity.

Colchester's crunchiness
Article Abstract:
Crunchiness is akin to fighting against the odds, and sogginess is like laziness or indifference. Poor people are crunchy, but if they become wealthy, they can become soggy. Business and politics must retain a crunchiness to survive and not become lazy and soggy.
