Indian Ocean tuna seiners to refit at: big dry dock in Mauritius
Article Abstract:
Chantier Naval De L'Ocean Indien Ltd. (CNOI), a new large dry dock and shipyard is opened on the island of Mauritius to augment the shipyards facilities at Seychelles for Indian Ocean fleets of tuna purse seiners. It is a joint venture between French shipbuilder Piriou of Concarneau and the Mauritius based Ireland Blyth Ltd., and can accommodate large Spanish tuna seiners as well. Tuna vessels use these dry docks to carry out their maintenance works.
