Indian software firms may prove resilient
Article Abstract:
Software companies in India are likely to maintain expansive profit margins despite threats of reduced earnings on their foreign counterparts. Market analysts are optimistic that the industry's growth level would reach the 50% to 70% range, even if US companies endure a major economic slowdown. In fact, an economic recession may bolster the growth of local enterprises, as it may reduce the price of products by half and create various outsourcing opportunities to domestic workers. Demand for products is likewise expected to increase due to the problems posed by the millenium transition.
