Interior study: The Piper Building
Article Abstract:
Interior architects have been given the opportunity to design the interior of a newly developed apartment complex, converted from a former company headquarters in Wandsworth, South London. Interiors architect firm Lifshutz Davidson worked with several designers to produce a range of flat designs at the Piper Building, which incorporated metal and brickwork with wood and glass. The 77 flats covered a total of 9,754 square meters. A communal garden has been included on the roof to enable residents to enjoy the river Thames.

Architecture as a social art
Article Abstract:
Architectural firm Feilden Clegg Architects was established almost by mistake, according to co-founder Richard Feilden. The company is 20-years-old in 1998 and has achieved a reputation as a high quality provincial practice, balancing tradition, modernism and romanticism. Bath-based Feilden Clegg is prepared to experiment with uncompromisingly modern designs placed in traditional locations, such as the recording studio complex for rock star Peter Gabriel.
