It provide commercial internet services, systems integration services and computer hosting, with an experienced staff of network engineers. Analysts who are bullish on IIJ point out that corporate Japan has just barely begun to use the Internet, so the potential is great.

NTT pins hopes on Verio

Nippon Telephone and Telegraph Corp. (NTT) is planning a restructuring for the U.S. Internet company Verio Inc. resulting in a loss of up to $4.5 billion on the value of the company for NTT. Plans include closing half of Verio's data centers, laying off 25% of workers, exiting the dial-up Internet-access business and strengthening its Web-hosting services.
