Inverse inconsistency in analytic hierarchies
Article Abstract:
The problem of inverse inconsistency in T.L. Saaty's Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is analyzed. H.A. Donegan and F.J. Dodd show that the problem involving the calculation of random indexes in the AHP can be modified with the inclusion of the Principle of Priority. The Modified Analytic Hierarchy Process removes the ambiguity of results while retaining the scoring method employed by AHP.
