Iran election win by hard-liner snarls ties to West

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been elected President of Iran. Mr. Ahmadinejad is an ultra-conservative and has said developing a nuclear energy program is "the absolute right for Iran and every Iranian." Mr. Ahmadinejad's policy snarls relations with the West, particularly the European Union that has been negotiating a non-nuclear policy as well as growing economic ties.
