Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, and Indonesia
Article Abstract:
Asia's export-import trade will continue to suffer from the effect of the economic crisis until 2002-2003. According to the World Bank and the IMF, the recovery of Asian economies is slow but the reestablishment of a macroeconomic framework could lead to an economic upturn. The Japanese market is good for exports such as raw materials, fossil fuels, manufactured goods and foodstuffs. Aircraft, petroleum, foodstuffs and chemicals have good prospects for exporting to Singapore. Taiwan's major imports include electronics, crude oil, foodstuffs, iron and steel and chemicals while Indonesia's main imports are raw materials, foodstuffs, fuels and manufactured goods.
