Hellfire II deliveries
Article Abstract:
Lockheed Martin has started delivering AGM-115M Hellfire II anti-shipping missiles to the US Navy. The deliveries are part of a contract for 100 missiles to be deployed with the Marine Corps Bell AH-1W SuperCobra and the Navy Sikorsky SH-60B Seahawk helicopters. The Helffire variant features a 12.5 kg blast-fragmentation warhead equipped with a delayed proximity fuse to enable it to detonate after the Mach1.3 capable missile pierces the target's outer hull.
