Keep cool - naturally
Article Abstract:
Commercial buildings often need cooling for significant periods during the year, leading to increased interest in way of reducing or removing the need for air conditioning by design. Some designers use the fabric of the building as a way of controlling temperature variations and many such buildings are built using reinforced concrete. Steel framed construction can also be used in naturally cooled building design. A recent deep deck floor system comprises thin galanised sheet steel formed into a ribbed profile into which concrete is poured.
