A student of prominent economist John Maynard Keynes remembers him as a serious man who was able to present his ideas clearly and conversationally. He greatly examined the economic effects that surrounded unemployment, but is best known for his examinations of inflation and monetary theory.

There has been debate over the theories of the famous economist John Maynard Keynes, as to whether or not he would agree with the philosophy that was named after him, Keynesian economics. The philosophy has been broadened and made inconsistent over the years.
