Killybegs gets quay space at last!
Article Abstract:
Killybegs is one of the main fishing bases of Ireland. The problems associated with the port's space utilization constraints, which cannot accommodate its new fleet, are discussed. After several appeals to the Department of Marine, Killybegs got the required finance for pier upgrades and dredging.

Freezer ship ready for a new venture
Article Abstract:
The 106.3 metre Irish-owned trawler Veronica has been installed at the port of Killybegs to work for 10 years on all the company's contracts in freezing around 200 to 220 tonnes of pelagic fish a day. The other upgrades that have taken place at the port are investigated.
