Kimberly-Clark taps FCB, JWT for European tissue task
Article Abstract:
Kimberly-Clark Corp (K-C) is concentrating European tissues products advertising on two agencies, J Walter Thompson (JWT) and Foote Cone and Belding (FCB). JWT will deal with bathroom tissue products in Europe, while FCB will deal with household towels, taking over from McCann-Erickson, and already handles Kleenex facial tissues from K-C. This follows the merger of Scott Paper with K-C, which has led to a reappraisal of advertising of consumer tissue products world wide.

Lufthansa keeps Y&R's Swissair win in holding pattern
Article Abstract:
The decision by Swiss state-controlled airline Swissair to move its $60 million global advertising account to Advico/Young and Rubicam Zurich may hit snags as the advertising agency handles the advertising for rival German airline Lufthansa. Swissair's account was previously held by GBBS/TBWA. The airline has normally focused on press advertising but is thought to be planning a TV campaign through its new agency.
