LEADING EDGE TO COME OUT WITH PREF ISSUE
Article Abstract:
Leading Edge Systems Ltd ( LESL),a software services company of Mumbai, proposes to issue 9.2 lakh warrants which will be converted into preference shares to a private equity fund of Chase Capital Partners (CCP). The warrants are priced at Rs388 each. CCP will pay Rs35.7 crore for its 12.3 percent stake in LESL. It had recently announced a stock split in 1:1 ratio. The stock split has increased its equity from Rs3.28 crore to Rs6.56 crore. The conversion of warrants will increase the equity to Rs7.48 crore. The promoters stake will decline to 47.6 percent from 54 percent. The public holding will decline to 41 percent from 46 percent. The proceeds will be used to set up software development centres and marketing offices. (rk)

SSI COMPLETES PREF ALLOTMENT OF 7.5 L SHARES

SSI Ltd of Chennai has completed its placement of 7.5 lakh shares on a preferential basis to foreign and domestic institutional investors at Rs750 per share. The software training company plans to enhance its presence all over India by increasing its owned and franchised training centres. (khr)
