LIC MUTUAL FUND HIKES DIVIDEND RATE
Article Abstract:
LIC Mutual Fund (LICMF) has increased the dividend rate for its Dhanaraksha-1989 and Dhanasahayog schemes to 10 percent for the year ended March 1998. Dhanaraksha-1989 had offered 6 percent dividend while Dhanasahayog had offered 8 percent dividend in 1996-97. The dividend under Dhan 80CCB (1), Dhanavriddhi-89 and Dhanashree-1991 has been retained at 15 percent, 12 percent and 13 percent respectively. The record date for dividend under all the schemes is fixed at May 20. LICMF collected Rs170 crore under Dhanavarsha (12) scheme which closed on May 15, 1998. (gsh)

KOTHARI PIONEER MF TO PUT A FREEZE ON NEW PRODUCTS

The Kothari Pioneer Mutual Fund (KPMF) is to promote its existing open-ended funds and not start any new schemes. It now has products in the equity, bond and money market segments. It expects to mobilise Rs150 crore in 1998-99 against Rs40 crore in 1997-98. It has projected a mobilisation of Rs100 crore from income funds, Rs30 crore from equity and Rs20 crore from the money market segment. It plans to enter non-metro markets and interact with investors through electronic mail. (khr)

KOTHARI INFOTECH FUND NAV UP 20%

The Kothari Pioneer Infotech Fund (KPIF) recorded a 19.9 percent rise in its net asset value (NAV) at Rs11.63 on December 22, 1998. It has been concentrating on leading information technology (IT) stocks that have good fundamentals and huge growth potential. Mastek and 7 other scrips account for 83.3 percent of the assets of the Kothari Pioneer Infotech Fund. The assets of the Kothari Pioneer Infotech Fund have increased to Rs10.5 crore from Rs7.5 crore.
