The intense competition for market share among Canadian brewers has resulted in memorable advertising campaigns in the 1990s. Molson Breweries of Canada Ltd and Labatt Brewing Co Ltd both launched innovative marketing campaigns to upstage each other. The competition between the two brewers resulted in the launching of a series of breakthrough products some of which fizzled out, rollovers of advertising agencies, bizarre television ads and lawsuits.
