Michael Eisner, chief executive officer at Walt Disney Co., has announced that he will not seek to renew his contract when it comes due in September 2006. The announcement leaves the company two years to search for a replacement for the much-coveted entertainment industry position. Disney will be considering its primary internal candidate, President Robert Iger, as well as external candidates, while all the while trying to keep in mind the concerns of its investors.

Disney's net rose 24% in quarter
