The colour of money
Article Abstract:
The world market for antiquities and art is estimated to be worth $17 billion in 1999. Kusin and Company's David Kusin aims to set up art price indices which will include art works that have not reached reserve prices, and which will cover 100 categories. Prices of art works do not seem to follow the same pattern as for stock markets. Participants in the market would benefit from a more informed market, and investors in art would be reminded of the capital that they own.
