Technical trouble
Article Abstract:
Technological developments can help banks to cut costs and provide services more cheaply, as well as obtaining information about their customers more easily. Banks may also have to spend on traditional ways of delivering services, as well as new ways involving new technology, and this pushes up costs. New entrants can simply use the cheaper new technology. Some technological developments could render banks redundant, but Internet banks have yet to become popular.
