Limited success
Article Abstract:
Traditionally, architecture has not been a money-making enterprise, but architect Chris Liddle tried to change the pattern and create a profitable architectural business enterprise. His plan failed because he could not persuade investors that his intended company, Rock Archimedia Design, would not end up as another failed architecture business notion, but Liddle is unbowed and already working on a company restructure.

African resistance
Article Abstract:
The former president of the International Union of Architects, Olufemi Majekodunmi, discusses his life and career, with reference to his offices in Botswana, South Africa and Nigeria. He believes that it is important to ensure that African architectural designs are amenable to the country's climatic, social and cultural conditions, rather than copies of European or American models.
