Logica's pretax profit jumped 52% in fiscal year

Logica PLC posted an improvement of 52% in profits for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 1999. Logica, a software and services firm, reported 63.4 million pound sterling (96.1 million euros) in pretax profits for the year. In the year before, Logica posted 41.8 million pound sterling. Analysts had predicted that the company would post 59.9 million pound sterling for the year.
