Lord Sainsbury
Article Abstract:
Alan John Sainsbury, who later became Lord Sainsbury, was a pioneer in developing supermarkets in the United Kingdom, and he developed a company set up by his grandfather. He managed to convence other members of the family involved in the firm, and set up a self-service establishment in Croydon, England. The Sainsburys are among Britain's richest families, and they also have a concern for social responsibility, both in terms of the company's workforce and the nation as a whole.
