Lot streaming with detached setups in three-machine flow shops
Article Abstract:
The structural features of schedules that minimize the makespan of a single job with detached setup times in a multiple-machine job shop by splitting the job into different sublots are studied. Since optimal lot streaming schedules are more complex than solutions to problems requiring no setup times, an algorithm that converges to an optimal solution in O(log s) time was developed for the case of a three-machine flow shop.

Manufacturing lead time estimation using data mining

Solution to a manufacturing lead time estimation problem is derived using regression tree data mining method. A job shop simulation model is used to solve the problem.
