Malaysian plantation firm Kumpulan Guthrie is bent on shifting its focus on commercial property development as a result of the disastrous situation in the plantation crop sector, which is characterized by price declines especially in the case of palm oil and rubber. The company has suffered as much as a 73% decrease in profits because of this situation. It owns the biggest plantations in Malaysia.
