McKesson net disappoints Wall Street

McKesson HBOC Inc. posted lower-than-expected earnings for the first-quarter of 1999. The company cautioned that the 1999 year would be a period of transition following its merger with HBO & Co. McKesson posted approximately $14 million (13.07 milion euros) in distribution operating margins for the period. The company posted 30 cents per share in income before items. Analysts predicted 34 cents per share.
