Media muddle
Article Abstract:
Four major problems with the request for proposal (RFP) issued by the federal government, resulted in its boycott by all major Canadian media buying agencies, with only one unqualified bid happening. The problems have been discussed by some of the leading media executives and in their opinion the best solution would be a redraft of the RFP. The governmentEs decision to do in-house buying of media shall probably not succeed, due to lack of requisite infrastructure.
