Article Abstract:
The new Omega gauge developed by 11 institutes and companies under the Omega gauge development project is described. The new equipment will not have the inconsistencies that the old wedge gauge had and therefore it will eliminate any differences of opinions. Approvals to the equipment are awaited. A brief history of the mesh gauges is also presented.
