Mineral waters and related drinks in Germany
Article Abstract:
Retail sales of mineral waters and related products in Germany totalled up to 8 billion deutschmarks in 1995. Mineral waters with added flavorings remain particularly popular. The still water market is growing quickly, increasing 100% between 1991 and 1995 but the carbonated water market grew only 10% in the same period. The growing interest in a healthy lifestyle should help to perpetuate the increasing market for mineral waters, although in East Germany consumption levels are still limited.
