Modeling global market entry decision by fuzzy logic with an application to country risk assessment
Article Abstract:
A fuzzy logic framework to model the main parameters of global market entry decisions was developed as an aid to global market entry decisions. Fuzzy logic is an appropriate method to account for interplaying factors such as unreliable data, imprecise measures, ambiguous language and uncertain environmental conditions. The fuzzy logic framework was tested in a case study that tried to assess specific country risks such as trade balance, foreign exchange rate, social risks and political risks.
