Molson Breweries is launching an outdoor campaign for its Rickard's Red and Gold beer brands. The campaign, created by Taxi Advertising Design, will use the 'A Shade Different' tag line and will focus on the Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver and Calgary markets. Molson is also planning a TV spot for the Rickard's brands by 2002. Rickard's is one of the Molson core brands that the Canadian brewer intends to market heavily to Canadian beer drinkers.

Molson Breweries' Pit Stop campaign for the Molson Dry beer brand has garnered a gold award at the first-ever Media Innovations Awards, presented by 'Marketing Magazine' on Nov 15, 2000 at a gala event in Toronto, Ontario. The campaign, which was created by Montreal, Quebec- based advertising agency, Optimedia Canada, was able to capture the spirit of the Grand Prix and reach its target market, young men 18 to 24.
