Investments made on the Swiss market can be very profitable since there has been no lack of funds to choose from in Switzerland. Most of financial services companies in Switzerland have been known to be the best in the international market. Many of the so-called foreign funds that have been approved by the Federal Banking Commission actually have Swiss origins. Equity funds have been found to comprise the 70% of the total Swiss portfolio value.

MPE with 500 million pound sterling fund plan

Montagu Private Equity (MPE) is planning to become Europe's largest providers of equity, by raising money for the HSBC Private Equity Partnership Scheme. HSBC is backing MPE which has already raised 170 million of its 250 million pound sterling target. HSBC is planning to match MPE's 250 million pound investment, which will leave a total of 500 million pounds to be invested in unquoted companies.
