Cyberspace unravelled
Article Abstract:
Research undertaken by UK IT specialist Virtual Access indicates that 64% of UK small and medium-sized companies do not yet have internet access, let alone a web site. However, MORI research shows that European businesses are now developing internet business applications. It is vital that small companies undertake market research before commissioning a web design studio and that they are realistic about what a web site can achieve. It is important to remember that the business case for using electronic commerce varies from company to company.

The art of good showmanship
Article Abstract:
Presentation media can greatly aid the way that ideas are communicated but it cannot replace the content itself. Effective presentations allow ideas to be understood although attention spans of people at presentations tend to be poor. The key issue is to aim for clarity rather than to use technology simply because it is available. Outside experts can be brought in to help develop presentation materials and this can be worth the expense if the materials can be re-used on a number of occasions.
