Sponsors in talks with England's Rugby Football Union
Article Abstract:
It is thought that the England rugby union authorities are seeking a single sponsor to set up a sponsorship package for the best players. Some reports indicate that the Rugby Football Union (RFU) could ask around $10 million, which would be divided between players and the RFU over four years. If a sponsorship deal goes ahead, the amateur status of leading rugby union players will in effect come to an end.
