NEG MICON BLASER FREM I UDLANDET
Article Abstract:
NEG Micon, the Danish producer of wind power generators, has acquired the Dutch competitor Nedwind. This is in accordance with NEG Micon's expansion plans; previously this year, the company acquired two British companies and the Danish company Wind World. The aim is to be a fore-runner in the development of huge offshore wind power generators. In 1999, NEG Micon will launch a 2.0 MW generator, and MD Jens Erik Kristensen expects that the company will launch a 3.5 MW generator in the year 2000.

DENMARK: NEG MICON HAS LOST EQUITY CAPITAL
Article Abstract:
NEG Micon, the Danish manufacturer of wind power generators, is likely to have lost all equity capital, totalling DKr 0.5bn (USD 0.06bn). The market value of the company has fallen by 73% from more than DKr 3.1bn to DKr 852mn. The Danish company Schouw & Co, which owns 36.8% of NEG Micon, has lost DKr 857mn until now. The management of NEG Micon says the loss is due a too expansive strategy and bad project control under the former CEO Jens-Erik Kristensen.
