NORWAY: EGMONT HAS MADE ACQUISITIONS
Article Abstract:
Books Nordic, which is part of the Danish media group Egmont, has made several acquisitions in Norway recently. These include the rights to several adult books from the Norwegian media group Media Holding, the publishing firm Allehande, which publishes hobby books, manuals etc., SFG, which is a publisher of tourist books, and the book club Skabergladje. The book club will be integrated with the Swedish book club Richter, which is owned by Direct Nordic, another company in the Egmont group. Book Nordic is already a big player on the Norwegian market for children's books, and is now expanding in the adult book field.

Denmark: Management reshuffle at Egmont
Article Abstract:
Egmont, the media and entertainment group, carried out a management reshuffle. According to CEO Steffen Kragh, the aim of the reshuffle is to make Egmont an effective organisation that can boost profits, re-focus on international operations, continue expansion on the Nordic market and improve Egmont's position by making use of the prospects in new technology.

DENMARK: MAGAZINES ACQUIRED BY EGMONT
Article Abstract:
The two monthly magazines Euroman and Eurowoman have been acquired by the Danish media group Egmont. Turnover of the magazines is about DKr 40mn (USD 5.3mn). Through the acquisition, Egmont enter a new segment, men's magazines.
