DENMARK: GMT NOT TO SELL OFF SHARES IN DSB
Article Abstract:
The Danish Minister of Transports, Sonja Mikkelsen, states that DSB, the Danish rail operator, will not be privatised. The Government will not sell off shares, she said as a comment to a proposal by MD Henrik Hassenkam of DSB, to partly privatise the company, referring to the privatisation of rail operations in England. Furthermore, the Minister of Transports stated that the status of DSB will not be changed into a limited company.

DENMARK: DSB ENGAGES DSB TO ANALYSE INFORMATION

DSB, the Danish state railway company, has engaged consultancy company Norsk Veritas to analyse the information given to passengers by DSB. Norsk Veritas is to present proposals for technical and organisational measures to improve passenger information. DSB will also appoint an information ombudsman as well as expand train staff to guide passengers at train stations and on trains.

The American Internet company Agency.com has acquired Visionik, the Danish IT company, by offering its owners shares valued at DKr 300mn (USD 41mn) in Agency.com. Visionik has 45 employees and a DKr 20mn turnover. It operates in the e-commerce and interactive TV fields, and has obtained international recognition, the paper writes.
