Net profit more than doubles on fashion-footwear sales

Puma AG's net profits for the 2003 first quarter more than doubled as a result of its sales of fashion goods and sporting goods. The company posted 48.8 million euros for the quarter, from 22.1 million euros from the same 2002 period.
