Net rebroadcaster defies CAB
Article Abstract:
TVRadioNow Corp president William Craig has signified his intention to continue with streaming the over-the-air signals of 17 American and Canadian broadcasters into the Internet despite a warning sent by the lawyers of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters. Craig's Toronto, Ontario-based firm owns iCraveTV.com, the Internet-based firm that retransmits signals from television broadcasters. Craig maintains that his actions are covered by the Copyright Act of Canada.

Agency vets form digital shop

Industry veterans Fransi Weinstein and Cheryl Young have formed a new direct and digital marketing company with the temporary domain name of Theunnamedagency.com. Weinstein used to be the senior VP and creative director at BBDO Response while Young is the former VP for marketing at Bank of Montreal. Joining the two is Sharon Zillmer, who would assume the post of VP for digital marketing. Zillmer was the former head for digital marketing at Dac Group.
