India does IT
Article Abstract:
India could see a number of internet deals following the success of the sale of IndiaWorld, an internet portal. Foreign venture funds are showing interest, and Indian software companies have become popular among stockmarket investors. There are also Indian American entrepreneurs who are keen to invest in India. Stockmarket regulations and capital controls can present obstacles, though this could change with a move toward more rleaxed rules. Listing and tax and investment rules are among those that could be relaxed.
