News in pictures: Paternoster Square
Article Abstract:
The redevelopment of Paternoster Square in London, UK, has been resurrected with a new application overseen by William Whitfield of Whitfield Partners. Prince Charles put a stop to the last attempt to redevelop in 1987, when he accused the planners of brutal design. There are six designs, two of which could potentially be used as dealing rooms. All the buildings will be for sale as office accommodation, while infrastructure for the whole development will be at basement level, containing car parking spaces and service access. Christopher Wren's Chapter House will be retained.
