Tesco's outlook wins more favor than Sainsbury's
Article Abstract:
Tesco PLC's view to foreign expansion is preferred by analysts over that of competitor J. Sainsbury PLC, a UK supermarket operator. It is because Tesco appears to hold more-coherent strategy for investing abroad than Sainsbury which appears uncertain whether its operations in the US market should be part of its long-term plans. Tesco has outlined its plan to play a major role in less-developed markets and said that it will capitalize on its strong domestic position to dominate the fragmented and underdeveloped markets abroad.
