Article Abstract:
Engineers involved in three Midwestern construction projects explain their experiences with building wood structures, particularly their use of timber. The three projects are the Runge Conservation Nature Center, Jefferson City, MO, the Walnut Creek Prairie Learning Center, Prairie City, IO, and an extension to the Kansas History Center, Topeka, KS. The unique problems encountered involved site topography and grading and concealment of non-wood components.

A supernova occurred over 300,000 years ago about 1,200 light years away from Earth, and it is now known as the pulsar Geminga. Scientists have found Beryllium-10 radioactive isotopes created by cosmic rays sent by the supernova.
