Article Abstract:
The coal mines in the northern area of Vorkuta are experiencing a variety of management and labor problems attributable to a depressed industry. The mines have to sell 70% of their coal to the government for $1.54-$3.08 per ton in contrast to exported coal to Britain that earns $50 per ton.

A virtuous circle: black and white
Article Abstract:
Educational test scores of middle-class Black children are improving. Improvements began when integration and Head start first began. Unfortunately, inner city children of all races still fare poorly in the education system. Scores have also gone down slightly for white college-students.
