Norway calling
Article Abstract:
The Democratic Voice of Burma has been broadcasting from the Norweigian island of Kvitsoy since Jul 19, 1992. Receiving direct support from the Norweigian government, the broadcasts are put together by four Oslo-based Burmese dissidents whose aim is not purely to discredit the government through propaganda. Though admittedly anti-government, the broadcasting program does not advocate violence and aims to disseminate information on subjects as diverse as human rights and health.
