The former Peking university researcher, Zhou Duo massed at the end of north Tiananmen square in the pre-dawn darkness of 4th June 1989 in China and admitted that if there were any protesters, he did not see them. Zhou was caught by the police and detained for 11 months, which pushed him into the position of dissident.
