The change in trends of serving tea in China is discussed. The earlier boisterous environment is replaced with quieter and serene teahouses in that are especially suited for the businessmen and the rich. Usage of mineral water for tea preparation and the selection of tealeaves also form an integral part of this new trend.

The high investment railway line construction projects along the Qinghai and Tibet regions are planned for the economic development of Tibet by reducing the geographic isolation of the area. However critics believe it to be a move aimed at annexation of Tibet.
