Osama bin Laden and other Islamic fundamentalists are basing their calls for Muslims to rise up against Jews and Christians on historical themes. The West needs to counter such arguments by pointing to examples of Muslims co-existing happily alongside Christians in areas such as Europe and the US.

The need to speak up
Article Abstract:
Muslims, particularly those in the West, have a great responsibility to speak out against fundamentalists who seek to justify the terrorist attacks on the US. The US military action against Afghanistan is not a fight against Islam: it is the terrorists who are undermining Islam.
