Now is the time to buy Japan's bank shares, analyst says: stocks hit the hardest could offer th biggest gains from government rescue package
Article Abstract:
Banking analyst Robert Zielinski of investment firm Lehman Brothers believes that the time is ripe for investors to pick Japanese bank stocks, given the potential of bank stocks to improve on investment profits with the coming government rescue package for the banking industry. This is already manifest in the five-day rally of banking industry stocks, whose index in the Nikkei surged to high rally of 13%, compared to the 8% increase in the index of other sectors.
