ORACLE CORP GOING RETAIL IN INDIA

Oracle Corporation of the US has decided on retail marketing in India. It will soon launch Oracle CPG, a specialised ERP package for industries like cosmetics and toiletries, beer, paints, cigarettes and pharmaceuticals. The package software for includes supply chain management, order management, batch process manufacturing and asset management. The company is negotiating with domestic fast moving consumer goods companies for its Oracle CPG package, which costs over $7 lakh. (khr)

YOKOGAWA BLUE STAR TO LAUNCH ETS

Yokogawa Blue Star Limited (YBL) is likely to introduce enterprise technological solutions (ETS) shortly. The launching is scheduled at the forthcoming PowerGen'98 exhibition to be held in Delhi in October 1998. The solutions will cover the entire range of activities from ground level manufacturing to the top management level. YBL will also offer total customers linking distributed control system (DCS) to enterprise resource planning (ERP) environments. (uh)

The package runs on Lotus Domino and can be accessed by Lotus Notes clients and browsers like Netscape.
