Obituary: Gordon Graham
Article Abstract:
Former President of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Gordon Graham died aged 77 in September 1997. His most famous work was helping to create the Lloyd's building, UK, and the Hongkong & Shanghai Bank. He studied architecture at Nottingham University, UK, and went on to join the Royal Artillery from 1940 to 1946. He was President of RIBA from 1977 to 1979 after lecturing and becoming senior partner of the Architects Design Group. He was a much admired president who promoted architectural firms and the practice of architects.

Tate meets Lyall
Article Abstract:
The quality of the new and existing brickwork in the Tate Modern, London, is evaluated. The modifications to the former Bankside power station, in particular its chimney, by engineers Ove Arup and architects Hertzog & de Meuron are described.

The use of panoramic software in architectural design is discussed. Sheppard Robson used Ipix's spherical panoramic software in its work on the new headquarters building for Toyota.
